Weed Fabric
Description
A black, nylon mesh material designed to allow water to pass through, but weeds cannot grow through it.  It is sold in 3 foot wide rolls either 50 feet or 100 feet long.  It looks like black burlap.
Uses
  • Under stones to prevent weed growth.

  • Over drain tile to prevent root and dirt penetration.

  • Under decks to prevent weed growth.

Fertilizer
Description
An all purpose 12-12-12 fertilizer.  It contains 12% phosphorous, 12% nitrogen, and 12% potassium.  It also contains micro- nutrients.  It is recommended for all new seeding because it promotes root development and provides the nutrients germinating seeds require.  Sold in 50-pound bags.  One bag covers 2500 square feet.  Can be sold as whole pallets (40 bags per pallet).
Uses
  • All new grass seeding.

  • Revitalizing established grass.

  • General fertilizing of any plants.

Straw
Description
Agricultural straw that has been cut, dried, and bailed.  The bales are standard size, approximately 1 ½’ X 2’ X 4’ and will cover about 500 square feet (based on hand spreading).  Straw blowers will cover approximately 350-450 square feet per bale.  Straw is recommended for spreading over all newly planted grass seed.  It helps retain moisture and keeps the wind from blowing the seed
Uses
  • Covering new seed to help moisture retention and protect seed.

  • Bedding in dog kennels, horse stalls.

  • Temporary, low retaining walls.

  • Erosion control.

Landscape Timbers
Description
Pressure treated lumber for borders and retaining walls.  It is available in either yellow or red pine.  The timbers are yellowish-green in appearance.  The difference between yellow and red pine is in the texture.  The yellow pine is smooth cut, meaning the surfaces are fairly smooth.  They are available in two sizes.  Either 6” X 6” X 8’ or 6” X 8” X 8’.  The red pine is rough cut and is available in 6” X 6” X 8’ size.
Uses
  • Bordering beds and driveways.

  • Retaining walls.

Description
A synthetic dye used to restore the color of faded mulches.  It is a concentrate and must be mixed with water.  It is applied with a simple garden sprayer.  It is available in the same colors as our colored mulches, black (labeled dark brown), brown (labeled bright brown), red, and gold. 
Uses
The ½ gallon size will make 16 gallons of dye and cover 3200-6400 square feet.  The quart size will make 1 gallon of dye and treat 200 square feet.
