  • This soil is best for applications where once material has been planted, it will not be disturbed.

  • Planting trees and shrubs.

  • Putting in new lawns or patching bare spots.

  • Filling low spots.

  • Finish grading.

  • Backfilling retaining walls less than 12” deep

Name
Landscaper's Blend

Composition
Approximately 70% soil, 15% compost, and 15% sand. Screened through a ¾ inch screen.

Description
A basic blend very similar to the topsoil.  However, the compost is more coarse.  Because the compost texture varies, the final product will vary in appearance and texture.  Sold by the yard.

Uses
Low cost soil for finish grading large areas.  Suitable for applications where consistent product is not required.  Excellent for commercial sites.

Name
Mix Soil

Composition
40% topsoil, 30% organic compost or humus, 30% coarse sand. Shredded, pulverized and screened through ¾ inch screen.

Description
A top quality all-purpose soil.  It is rich in nutrients and the sand will help resist compaction.  The pH is 6-8.  This soil is rich enough to support delicate flowers, and strong enough to allow solid rooting of trees and shrubs.  Sold by the yard.

Uses
  • This soil is best for areas that contain a mix of plant types.

  • Flower beds

  • Renovating poor soil conditions

  • Adding to existing flowerbeds or gardens

Name
Planting Bed Mix

Composition
30% topsoil, 30% organic compost or humus, 20% coarse sand. 20% pea sized silica gravel.  Shredded, pulverized and screened through a ¾ inch screen.
Description
This is a premium soil.  The high organic content makes it very rich for growing plants.  The gravel helps the material hold moisture which means watering less often.  The sand and gravel both keep the soil loose and workable.  Sold by the yard.

Uses
  • This soil is best in areas where it will be continually worked.

  • Vegetable and annual gardens.

  • Flower pots and planters

  • Greenhouses

  • Perennial Gardens

Name
Topdressing Mix

Uses
Topdressing over existing lawns.
